on the law of attraction

it doesnt work like that. its too literal and rigid minded to see it like that. you get to the real root of the problem. people talk about manifesting people like theyll get exactly who they want. no.. thats not how it works either. the best i can say about this method is that it helps you to be objective so you can detach well enough from your misconceptions and biases to see whats actually going on behind the scenes and how you can make what consensual/mutually relevant events come into being you are seeking. also keeping in mind -soul contracts-. easier said than done, but in general its about finding answers to give you enough clarity to make worthwhile decisions for yourself. its supposed to be an active approach, NOT a passive one. unless it calls to be passive in one area or another. but like i said, its not that cut and dry! i dont mean to be rude, but seeing people parrot the law of attraction theory over and over again is disheartening because its not the whole story. i like esther hicks, but her channeling isnt as good as it can be, i guess. and dont get me started on -the secret-. lol i tried the law of attraction and it felt like all i was actually doing was putting up a wall against what i wanted making what i wanted feel like pursuing me. however.. its actually kind of like giving what you want the cold shoulder and is manipulative. its regressive, not progressive. so often the things we seek require a journey and enduring hardships to aquire! sometimes it IS about realizing you cant have what you want, but its also about knowing theres a reason you cant have that thing and addressing that issue as per reality demands, even if it means acceptance that its not yours to possess.
