Pavees, Irish Travellers, Tinkers

These are all names for the same group of people.

They are very much like Gypsies, except they are Irish instead of Indian.


My theory is that Travellers were originally Celtic, but they were the nomads of the society, the new explorers of the land and instead of settling they continued to move from place to place, sort of becoming a new group of people.
