Politics and Druidry

It has often been recorded that druids had their hands in many pots, and amoung their duties was a measure of political influence. they were highly respected authority figures within the celtic cultures and were very often advisers for their kings. they could have been responsible for many of the laws of their territories [see brehon laws to get a good idea of what flavor of law they tended to like] and for policing to an extent and punishment of civilly determined criminals. amoungst other things obviously.

but they werent just politicians.

just saying, using druidry to proclaim absolute authority isnt reflective of ancient druids goals and making it all about enforcing law, order and pushing political agendas is irresponsible to say the least..

people that do so are ignoring that in true balance, chaos and order go hand and hand.
