ABOUT ME AND THIS BLOG

This website is based on my own vision of Irish Gael's (Celts) lifestyles.

I know them to be a worthwhile balance of nomadic and settlers.

Being clear animists by revering fae and nature, they lived in harmony with the land.

Their law system was profoundly ethical and could make more modern laws look trivial in comparison.

We still dont have as much information as we would like about these people, but it can be obvious that these people had shamanistic beliefs to some extent.

My blog explores these shamanistic aspects, lifestyles, and reteaches the lost art of living off the land in style, but possibly at least a little less comfort.

I have dedicated myself to researching this and aquiring useful and sometimes rare books about these subjects so I can share my findings with those who are interested in such topics.

I am Chelsea. I was born on Beltane, and have understood what May Day was since I was young because of my grandmother who came from England.

My great grandmother, her mother, is from Ireland. My whole family has very strong Scottish heritage, we have some Welsh. My aunt and uncle had their own celtic musical group, and one played the bodhran. [My dad told me he will make a CD of their music from a cassette tape for me.]

I grew up with a somewhat animistic upbringing, my dad being obsessed with love for ancient Native American sites, love for rocks and minerals, love of National Parks and spending time in nature, and his belief in spirits.

I guess you could say I have made many pilgrimages with my family to sacred places, like Mesa Verde, for one.

I have been an animist my entire life and never identified as a Christian or Atheist, and became a dedicated pagan at a later point in my life.

I have some interesting psychic abilities, some that I actively developed, some that work beyond my control.
